Andy Warhol

American, 1928–1987

Andy Warhol was an American artist and filmmaker recognized as a significant figure in 20th-century art. His work, associated with the Pop art movement, encompassed painting, filmmaking, photography, publishing, and performance art. Warhol's art explores themes related to advertising, consumerism, mass media, and celebrity culture, often using mechanical reproduction.
