‘Yves Saint Laurent and Photography’ on view at ICP

‘Yves Saint Laurent and Photography’ is on view at the International Center of Photography in New York through 28 September 2026.

Organized in collaboration with the Musée Yves Saint Laurent Paris and the Fondation Pierre Bergé–Yves Saint Laurent, the exhibition brings together nearly 300 photographs and archival objects. It explores the relationship Yves Saint Laurent forged between fashion and photography over four decades, examining photography’s role in promotion and as a creative force.

The presentation includes work by Richard Avedon, Cecil Beaton, Guy Bourdin, Robert Doisneau, Horst P. Horst, William Klein, Annie Leibovitz, Steven Meisel, Duane Michals, Helmut Newton, Irving Penn, David Seidner and Andy Warhol, among others. Photographs are shown alongside contact sheets, campaign materials, magazines and personal images.

Simon Baker, guest curator and photography historian, curated the exhibition with Nastasia Alberti, deputy head of collections and head archivist, and Clémentine Cuinet, head of photographic collections, both of the Musée Yves Saint Laurent Paris.

The exhibition originated at the Musée Yves Saint Laurent Paris and was co-produced with the Rencontres d’Arles in 2025.
