FEUTEU’s current online exhibition ‘Looking to Nature’ runs from 5 September to 2 October 2026, bringing together photography, prints and editions that respond to animals, plants, landscapes and the sea. The presentation gathers works ranging from quiet observation to playful encounters and imagined interpretations.
Nature is framed here as a source of beauty, curiosity, contemplation and imagination. The exhibition’s stated range extends from the vastness of the ocean and the enduring presence of landscape to flowers and animals, with individual works identifying particular places, species and subjects. Rather than concentrating on a single medium, the selection includes photographic prints, lithographs, screenprints and hybrid prints.
Thomas Struth’s ‘Pink Azalea, Dusseldorf, 1993’ (2000) is included as a work focused on plant life. Gerhard Richter’s 2021 ‘Eis (Ice)’ is an unsigned hybrid print issued by Kunsthaus Zurich on the occasion of Richter’s exhibition ‘Landschaft’. Richter is also represented by ‘Tiger’ (2023), a five-colour hybrid raster print.
Animals recur through works by Ryan McGinley, William Wegman, Hassan Hajjaj and John Baldessari. McGinley’s ‘Marmoset (LSD)’, from the ‘Animals’ series (2012), and Wegman’s ‘Shore 1999’ (2021) belong to the artists’ approaches to animal subjects described in the exhibition as marked by humour and curiosity, capturing playful and unexpected interactions between humans and animals. Hajjaj contributes ‘Snake Charmer’, from the ‘Handprints Series’ (2003, 2026), while Baldessari’s ‘Man with Snake (Blue and Yellow)’ dates from 1990.
The exhibition also includes Hiroshi Sugimoto’s offset lithographs ‘Time Exposed: #301 Caribbean Sea, Jamaica (1980)’ and ‘Time Exposed: #302 Pacific Ocean, Iwate (1986)’, both dated 1990. Joel Meyerowitz’s ‘Grand Canyon, Arizona’ (1973, 2022) names a further landscape subject. Elsewhere, Daido Moriyama’s ‘Stray Dog, Misawa, Aomori, Japan, 1971’ is presented in a 2026 archival pigment print, and Andy Warhol’s ‘Flowers 11.67’ and ‘Flowers 11.73’, dated 1970–2020, appear as colour screenprints.
Among the further works in ‘Looking to Nature’ are Damien Hirst’s ‘Blizzard H13-10’ (2023), Linder Sterling’s 2018 digital pigment print with photo collage ‘Portrait Obtained By Telepathy’, and Marguerite Horner’s oil-on-canvas ‘Refuge of the Roads’ (2024).
