The panel will examine John Baldessari’s legacy and impact, bringing together Craig Robins, CEO and president of Dacra, and Bonnie Clearwater, director and chief curator of NSU Art Museum Fort Lauderdale. José Carlos Diaz, PAMM’s senior director of curatorial affairs and chief curator, and Karen Grimson, curator of the Craig Robins Collection and director of art and culture at Miami Design District, will moderate the conversation.
The program will be streamed live on PAMM’s YouTube channel.
Its presentation highlights Baldessari’s foundational works from the 1960s and 1970s, the incineration of his own paintings, his serial approach to photography, and his investigation into the relationship between language and image.
The survey’s works are drawn largely from the collection of Craig Robins, whom the museum describes as a close friend, champion, and one of Baldessari’s foremost collectors.
Grimson curated ‘John Baldessari: The End of the Line,’ which appeared at MALBA in Buenos Aires in 2024 and at MACA in Punta del Este in 2025 before its 2026 presentation at PAMM in Miami.
