Vincent Fremont to Discuss Andy Warhol’s Factory Era on October 1

On Thursday, October 1, Vincent Fremont will share insights from his decades of work alongside Andy Warhol, addressing the Factory era and the modern art world during a lecture from 6–7 p.m., followed by a reception from 7–8 p.m.

The exhibition presents more than 150 works examining how Warhol shaped—and was shaped by—the visual culture of his time.

It includes Warhol’s Polaroid portraits, screenprints of Marilyn Monroe, Liza Minnelli, Judy Garland, Grace Jones and John Wayne, and a Campbell’s Soup Can image.

The film presentation includes ‘Poor Little Rich Girl’ (1965), starring Edie Sedgwick.

Photography includes portraits and behind-the-scenes images by Stephen Shore, Nat Finkelstein, David McCabe, Billy Name, Christopher Makos and Evelyn Hofer.

Gallery examples include a film poster for ‘Poor Little Rich Girl’ and Warhol-patterned dresses from the Halston Heritage and DVF collections.

The exhibition is organized by the Huntsville Museum of Art with support from Art Bridges.
