Galleri Christoffer Egelund in Copenhagen will present ‘Some Listeners Heal Us without Reply’, a solo exhibition by Canadian artist Melanie Daniel, from 21 August to 18 September 2026. The gallery says the show marks Daniel’s fourth solo exhibition with it and brings together a new body of work centered on her ongoing exploration of nature and the complex relationship between humans and the natural world.
The exhibition is listed for the gallery’s Main Gallery, with an opening reception on 21 August from 16:00 to 19:00 at Bredgade 75. The gallery’s notice also says visitors will have the opportunity to meet the artist at the opening. For inquiries and sales requests, the gallery provides hello@christofferegelund.dk and +45 33939200.
Daniel, identified in the gallery material as a Canadian artist born in 1972 in Victoria, British Columbia, has shown at galleries and museums in cities including New York, Los Angeles, Miami, London, Lyon, Montreal, Christchurch, Stockholm and Copenhagen. The gallery describes her as internationally renowned and notes that she holds a BA in science, literature and philosophy, as well as a BFA and MFA.
The exhibition text links Daniel’s practice to recurring questions about the natural world and human experience, though it does not outline specific works or series in the presentation. According to the gallery, the new body of work continues an established line of inquiry rather than shifting away from it, suggesting that ‘Some Listeners Heal Us without Reply’ will be read in the context of her broader practice rather than as a standalone departure.
Galleri Christoffer Egelund also situates Daniel’s career through a list of grants and recognitions, including support from the Pollock-Krasner Foundation, the New York Foundation for the Arts, the Creative Capital Grant and the NARS Foundation Residency in New York City. The gallery adds that her work is held in private and public collections around the world, including the Harvard Business School collection and the Brandes Family Art Collection, and has been featured on CBC/Radio Canada, in Frieze Magazine and in Newsweek Magazine.
The gallery’s announcement pairs the Main Gallery show with a separate project room exhibition, but the main focus is Daniel’s solo presentation. ‘Some Listeners Heal Us without Reply’ runs from 21 August through 18 September 2026 at Galleri Christoffer Egelund, Bredgade 75, Copenhagen.
