The exhibition is described as the largest exhibition yet devoted to an artist.

Tracey Emin, born in 1963, stands as one of the most prominent artists of her generation; for 40 years, she has inspired people worldwide through works that are radically personal and autobiographical.

Emin uses herself and tells about herself—some might say exposes herself—and is therefore both the motor and the mechanism in the creation of images of herself.

Her work is characterised as wild and violent, self-exposing and brutally honest, while also fragile and delicate; in Emin’s practice, art and creative power become, literally, questions of life and death.

Among Emin’s works is ‘My Bed’, which triggered a fierce media debate at the end of the 1990s and today stands as an iconic work in contemporary art.

'A Second Life' open on 8th October and runs until 18th April 2027.
