The season includes the exhibitions ‘The Last Human Kiss’, ‘Ecstasy and the Aftermath’, and ‘Love Stories’. ‘How Do We Find Love?’ runs from 13 November 2026 to 30 May 2027.
Spanning painting, sculpture, photography, textiles, moving image and sound, the exhibitions return to unresolved questions about what it means to be loved and to love well.
The season treats love as a subject that is rarely examined seriously and moves beyond romantic clichés through encounters that are sexy and seductive, bodily and emotional, and symbolic and intellectual.
At a moment when human connection is increasingly mediated by screens, ‘How Do We Find Love?’ asks audiences to sit with love’s complexities and contradictions. It considers love as wound and remedy, sacred and profane, private and political.
‘The Last Human Kiss’ explores how the kiss has shaped human ideas of love, intimacy, devotion, betrayal and belonging. It also traces how artists have returned to the kiss as a way of thinking about human connection and the human condition.
