'In Between' Brings Multiple Art Forms Together in a Studio Exhibition

'In Between' Brings Multiple Art Forms Together in a Studio Exhibition Image: Lehmbruck Museum, Duisburg

A studio exhibition runs from 3 July to 13 December 2026, combining painting, drawing, object art and architecture. The exhibition therefore brings these four forms together within a single presentation.

Two walk-in installations stand at the centre of the exhibition.

The installations combine static and kinetic elements with paintings, mirror objects and moving constructions, creating dynamic spatial situations. These situations are not fixed: they change continuously according to the viewer’s standpoint and movement.

‘In Between’ presents viewing as an active experience involving movement and interaction rather than observation alone. The invitation is to experience the art through movement and interaction, rather than only to look at it.

A conversation with art historian Thomas W. Kuhn connects the current exhibition ‘In Between’ with earlier works and stages in Sarić’s artistic development. The exhibition is supported by the City of Duisburg.
