Tala Madani has made her first series of monoprints, a group of unique works on paper that David Zwirner plans to present on 19 November 2026. According to the gallery, the new works take up censorship, order and suspension through the figure of the window washer, a motif that Madani has also explored in a related series of paintings.
Each sheet in the series is unique. Madani has spoken about what the process brings to her colour: “With the prints, I am able to rely on the pressure of the press to bring the gift of saturation; colors sing here.”
The gallery illustrates the series with a detail of 'Window cleaner' (2026). It has not yet published the number of works or further details of how they were produced.
