Q Gallery in Tel Aviv is preparing a group exhibition titled 'MiSSing', or 'Absence', scheduled to run from 4 July to 7 August 2026. The project is presented on the gallery’s website as a collective show curated by Ilan Moyal, and the exhibition text frames the theme of absence as both a condition of contemporary life in Israel and a philosophical starting point for artistic making.

According to the source material, 'MiSSing' brings together 14 artists working in a range of media, including painting, photography, video, installation, performance and artificial intelligence. The participating artists listed are Orit Zisman, Ilan Moyal, Guy Hugler, Dvora Sivan, Hadas Arazi, Hagit Onnami Rubinstein, Hana Ashuri, Kochi Levy, Moti Dariel, Michal Orgil, Michal Ben Gal, Miriam Stern, Oved Sarraf, Riki Benjamin and Tami Alkon. The presentation also includes the work of TranSis and a museum-grade vintage collection by Rona Plotek, woven into the gallery space.

The exhibition statement, available in Hebrew and English on Ilan Moyal’s site, describes the show as responding to “an absence of peace, an absence of home, an absence of time, an absence of trust, an absence of hope.” It says the project is not simply a political reaction to war, but an exploration informed by the Buddhist concept of Sunyata, or emptiness. In that framing, the void is presented not as a blank or barren space but as a charged ground for “the process of Becoming,” where body, gender, flesh and art are compelled to reinvent themselves.

The description also emphasizes the physical constraints of the venue. The artists are said to be showing within the “narrow confines” of Q Gallery, where their work gives material form to what is not present and maps longing, loss and silence. The text positions the gallery itself as part of the exhibition’s meaning, since the works are conceived in relation to a shared spatial and conceptual field rather than as isolated objects.

Q Gallery describes itself on the site as “a Hebrew gallery for protest art,” and its homepage includes links to other projects and calls for proposals. Within that context, 'MiSSing' sits alongside earlier and ongoing strands of the gallery’s programming that address social conflict, identity and artistic response. The exhibition’s online announcement was posted on 21 July 2026, while the exhibition dates given on the page place it across July and early August.

The participating artists are listed with the exhibition announcement, and the English version of the statement closes by suggesting that “from within this missing space” viewers may identify what they are still searching for, demanding or hoping to become. The exhibition is scheduled for Q Gallery, Tel Aviv, from 4 July to 7 August 2026.
