Art Basel Paris returns to the Grand Palais for its fifth edition this week, led by its new director, Karim Crippa. The fair brings together 211 international galleries, 64 of them with spaces in France, across three sectors, Galeries, Emergence and Premise, and its free Public Program runs across central Paris from 21 to 25 October 2026.
The Public Program places works at nine locations in central Paris. At the Palais d'Iéna, Miu Miu, the program's official partner, presents "Geste de Consolation" by Alice Diop, while the Chapelle des Petits-Augustins at the Beaux-Arts de Paris shows Kutluğ Ataman's "Küba" (2004). The Cité de l'architecture et du patrimoine welcomes Kennedy Yanko, and on the Parvis des droits de l'Homme Tracey Emin shows three bronzes, "I lay here for you" (2018), "I Followed You to the End" (2024) and "I Will Not Be Alone" (2025). Avenue Winston Churchill, closed to traffic for the fair, hosts works by Marcello Maloberti, Yinka Shonibare, Simone Fattal, Niki de Saint Phalle, Manfred Pernice, Alicja Kwade, Carmen Herrera and Keita Miyazaki. Cosima von Bonin presents "Dollys & Beaux" (2026) at the Petit Palais, Lionel Sabatté installs "Champs d'Oiseaux" (2026) in Square Jean Perrin, and Robert Indiana's "LOVE Wall" (1966–2006) stands on Place Clémenceau. Students from the École du Louvre are on hand at the sites each afternoon.
Inside the Grand Palais, "Oh La La!" is a two-day rehang on Friday and Saturday, art-directed by Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu around the theme "Myths & Legends", with participating works marked by a sticker. From 22 to 24 October, eleven free Conversations in English and French bring speakers including the Louvre's director Christophe Leribault, Claire Chazal, Jordan Roth, Linda Yablonsky and the artists Zanele Muholi and Ibrahim Mahama to the building's auditorium.
The fair also presents "GOD HATES SPACE", an audiovisual installation by GENER8ION in the Rotonde d'Antin, in its first collaboration with Live Nation.
