Museo del Novecento will present a focus dedicated to Vincenzo Agnetti on the centenary of his birth, in the Galleria Gesti e processi on the museum’s fourth floor.
Curated by Federica Boragina, the project is produced in collaboration with the Archivio Vincenzo Agnetti.
The focus examines Agnetti’s practice across writing, image, photography, sound and theoretical reflection, presenting a language that challenges the mechanisms of representation and the processes through which meaning is constructed.
In the concluding phase of his research, poetry became central, serving as the principle through which words and images meet and transform one another. The project presents the artwork as a space of relation in which poetic language moves beyond description to open new interpretive and perceptual possibilities for reality.
It also highlights the complexity of Agnetti’s trajectory by reconnecting conceptual research, writing and image, while offering a new perspective on his presence in the Museo del Novecento collection.
