Pier Sparta’s exhibitions 'BOIRE DE L'EAU DE LUNE' at the Jardin Massey in Tarbes and 'MOUCHES VENIMEUSES AU SOLEIL COUCHANT' at Le Parvis will open on 15 October 2026.

About ten figurative sculptures specifically produced for the occasion will be installed within a theatrical outdoor setting. At Le Parvis, a dynamic and colorful sculptural ensemble of around fifteen figures, led by a strange witch, will occupy the art centre’s space.

Inspired by traditional arts, Sparta creates figurative sculptures through carving, welding, modelling, moulding, painting, dyeing and enamelling.

The atmosphere will offer an unsettling counterpoint to the gentleness of the Jardin Massey.

The project also includes a public meeting with Sparta at Le Parvis, focused on his sculptural practice, his fascination with medieval art, and his close relationships with nature and wildlife.

The vernissages are scheduled for 14 October, from 18:00 to 19:30 and from 20:00 to 22:00.
