The third presentation opens on 8 October 2026, and the exhibition will be on view from 9 October to 1 November 2026 at Reinhart am Stadtgarten.
For 2026, the format does not take the form of a curated group exhibition. Instead, the focus is placed three times, for three weeks each time, on two artists with a connection to Winterthur or its region.
The three artist pairings are Klodin Erb and Esther Mathis, presented from 14 August to 6 September 2026; Dave Bopp and Nicolle Bussien, presented from 11 September to 4 October; and Reto Boller and Céline Brunko, presented from 9 October to 1 November 2026. The final listed pairing is therefore the presentation scheduled for the October dates at Reinhart am Stadtgarten.
The format change is linked to renovation work on the extension of Kunst Museum Winterthur | Beim Stadthaus. Instead of a curated group exhibition, selected positions will be shown with greater presence in the cabinet room and foyer of the museum Reinhart am Stadtgarten during 2026. The arrangement places the selected positions in those two museum areas while the extension is being renovated.
The December exhibition is traditionally a platform for artmaking from Winterthur city and region. The exhibition is curated by Konrad Bitterli and Andrea Lutz.
