The exhibition presents projects by Ruth Cuadrado; Equipo GAR, formed by Raúl Terol and Alba San Jaime; Marc Mateos Monteagudo and Candela Carrillo Santos; Jaume Mello; and Pablo Quesada.
The five selected projects are ‘Entrar en contacto,’ by Ruth Cuadrado; ‘Territorios blandos,’ by Equipo GAR; ‘En negativo (53),’ by the collective formed by Marc Mateos Monteagudo and Candela Carrillo Santos; ‘Obertura de si,’ by Jaume Mello; and ‘Tectónicas de cuerpos,’ by Pablo Quesada.
The 2026 residency edition took place from 14 to 25 September. During those two weeks, seven artists shared experiences and working processes while concentrating their efforts on developing the projects presented in the Sala Sempere of the MUA.
Each edition selects five artistic projects for development over two weeks in the museum’s facilities, supported by production and travel grants. During this period, residents have the opportunity to live and work at the MUA, learn about its operations and receive technical advice from its staff to develop and shape their projects.
The Residencias de Creación e Investigación Artística began in 2015 as a public call intended to promote artistic creation, stimulate research in the visual arts and contribute to the development of the contemporary-art sector.
