'Mel Chin' Exhibition Marking the 12th Hiroshima Art Prize on View Through 12 October 2026

A new exhibition by American artist Mel Chin has opened at the Hiroshima City Museum of Contemporary Art, following his selection for the 12th Hiroshima Prize, an award presented by the city of Hiroshima to artists whose work contributes to peace through art.

On September 27, OMA will host ‘Soft Power in Practice,’ a conversation with 2026 San Diego Art Prize recipients Danielle Dean, Ingrid Hernández, and Tatiana Ortiz-Rubio.

An exhibition at the Kanagawa Prefectural Museum of Modern Art, Hayama, will present works from September 12 through November 15, 2026.

Hiroshima City Museum of Contemporary Art has opened an exhibition and screening program focused on Mel Chin’s '9-11/9-11', presented in connection with the museum’s '12th Hiroshima Prize Commemorative Mel Chin Exhibition'.
