A new exhibition by American artist Mel Chin has opened at the Hiroshima City Museum of Contemporary Art, following his selection for the 12th Hiroshima Prize, an award presented by the city of Hiroshima to artists whose work contributes to peace through art.

Hiroshima City Museum of Contemporary Art has opened an exhibition and screening program focused on Mel Chin’s '9-11/9-11', presented in connection with the museum’s '12th Hiroshima Prize Commemorative Mel Chin Exhibition'.

The Hiroshima City Museum of Contemporary Art will open a special exhibition dedicated to Mel Chin, winner of the 12th Hiroshima Award, on July 25, 2026.
