Exhibitions in Krasnoyarsk and Irkutsk have opened as the concluding stages of the project ‘The Art of Impression. Impressionism. European Painting from the Pushkin Museum Collection.’ The two presentations bring the project’s Siberian itinerary to its final stages while continuing its focus on Impressionist works from the Pushkin Museum collection.
The exhibitions conclude a year-long Siberian tour that began in December 2025 and had already visited other cities in Siberia. In Irkutsk, the exhibition is open through 12 November, while the Krasnoyarsk presentation remains open through 15 November.
At the Irkutsk Regional Art Museum named after V.P. Sukachyov, the exhibition presents works by Gustave Courbet, Camille Pissarro, Paul Cézanne and Pierre Bonnard, alongside other artists. Its section ‘The Laboratory of Impressionism’ includes materials from the professional working environment of 19th-century artists, while works from the Pushkin Museum collections are presented as telling the history of Impressionism’s formation within world art.
At the Krasnoyarsk Museum Center ‘Peace Square,’ works by Camille Corot, Alfred Sisley and Henri Matisse are shown in dialogue with works by Siberian and Russian artists, including Vasily Surikov, Konstantin Korovin and Robert Falk.
