A presentation devoted to Leonora Carrington will open in Paris on September 8, 2026, running through October 10. Organized in collaboration with the Consejo Leonora Carrington and rossogranada, the project will begin with an opening reception on Tuesday, September 8, from 6 to 8 pm.
The collaboration brings two named partners to a focused Paris presentation of Carrington’s work. Its announcement is accompanied by an image of Carrington’s ‘The Lovers’ (1987), an oil-on-canvas painting.
Carrington’s practice is the subject of a related programme at the Museum of Latin American Art of Buenos Aires, which considers her friendship and artistic exchange with Remedios Varo. The museum connects the two artists’ creative universes in Mexico with esotericism and ancestral knowledge, and describes their shared interest in magical dimensions of reality. Its account also frames their work as expanding Surrealism beyond psychoanalysis, toward hidden connections among earthly things and worlds that challenge habitual logic.
The Paris presentation is scheduled to remain on view until October 10, 2026.
