The New Art Gallery Walsall presents ‘What Grows In Between’, a group exhibition by Dan Booth, Abraham Babajide Cole and Hannah Rollason, on Floor 4 through 11 October 2026.
The exhibition brings together newly commissioned work made during the third iteration of Assembly, a development programme for local artists held in partnership with Multistory. Working through painting, sculpture and installation, the three artists explore connection and transformation.
Booth’s figurative paintings engage with place, memory, masculinity and class dynamics. Cole presents new sculpture, including ‘Elsewhere Has Entered the Body’, and works with materials including beeswax, charcoal and clay. Rollason’s work considers ecology, knowledge production and relationships between human and nature, with works in the exhibition including ‘Rhizomatic’, ‘Nexus’ and ‘Within this framework’.
An ‘In Conversation’ event on 26 September at 2pm brings the artists together with Jess Piette of Multistory and Deborah Robinson of The New Art Gallery Walsall.
