Galerie Boisserée in Cologne is presenting ‘Bernar Venet – Selected prints, works on paper and sculptures’ from 4 September to 17 October 2026, on the occasion of Düsseldorf Cologne Open Galleries 2026.
The presentation brings together prints, works on paper and sculptures by Venet, who was born in Château-Arnoux in 1941. Works listed for the exhibition include the 2014 colour aquatint etching ‘Acute Angles - Disorder’ and ‘Effondrement: Angles’, a patinated steel sculpture from 2014. The exhibition also includes ‘Vertical Disorder: 12 Arcs’, a 2026 work in rolled steel with a black patina.
A group of ten 2022 screenprints reworked by hand with oil stick is represented by ‘Angles’, ‘Arcs’, ‘Lignes droites’ and ‘Combinaison alétoire de lignes indéterminées’. ‘Combinaison alétoire de lignes indéterminées’, sheet three in the series, measures 109.7 by 73.5 cm and was issued in an edition of 20, with 29 copies in total.
The exhibition opened on 4 September at 6:30 p.m. A 100-page illustrated catalogue, with a text by Walter Smerling, accompanies the presentation.
