National Museum of Fine Arts Highlights Abraham Vigo’s ‘Nazifascismos’

The Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes has mourned the death of Carlos Alonso, describing him as a great master and an unavoidable reference point in the contemporary visual history of the country.

Aída Vaisman’s ‘Mujer de pie’ is a nude. Vaisman was born in Warsaw in 1909 and arrived in Buenos Aires at age 16, where she lived until her death in 1940.

In 2022, the museum paid tribute to Taquini with the exhibition ‘Una celebración a Graciela Taquini.’

‘El ángel y el escarabajo’ (1941) is a woodcut by José Planas Casas. Planas Casas was a Spanish artist who became an Argentine citizen.
