LaM in Villeneuve d’Ascq has opened ‘raw’, a programme dedicated to emerging contemporary art, with an exhibition by Jessy Razafimandimby. On view from 13 June 2026 to 10 January 2027, the presentation is the first in the new programme.
Born in Madagascar in 1995, Razafimandimby works across painting, sculpture and drawing, incorporating these mediums into immersive installations assembled from found objects. For the exhibition, he has developed a new group of works combining human and animal figures.
The installation includes furniture, textile fragments and trinkets, some of which were sourced at the Grande Braderie de Lille in 2025. Grégoire Prangé, head of the prospective programme, editions and research, is the exhibition’s curator.
The exhibition is open Tuesday to Sunday, from 11am to 7pm. Admission is €11, with a reduced rate of €9.
