‘Fulco Pratesi. Acquerelli Pionieri’ opens at Museo di Roma in Trastevere, Rome, on 16 September 2026. The exhibition is dedicated to the artistic work of Fulco Pratesi, an architect, naturalist, illustrator, writer and journalist, and founder of WWF Italy.
The display brings together a selection of watercolours, drawings, notebooks and original materials. It presents Pratesi’s work as an artist who observed, described and defended nature throughout his life, using drawing as a means of knowledge, emotion and civic engagement.
The exhibition forms part of WWF’s ‘Rivoluzione Naturale’ exhibition project and a programme of initiatives marking 60 years of WWF Italy. Olympia Pratesi curates the exhibition with the collaboration of Isabella Pratesi.
‘Fulco Pratesi. Acquerelli Pionieri’ is promoted by Roma Capitale, Assessorato alla Cultura and Sovrintendenza Capitolina ai Beni Culturali. Museo services are provided by Zètema Progetto Cultura.
The museum is open Tuesday to Sunday, 10am to 8pm, with last entry at 7pm; it is closed on Mondays.
