‘El listado’, an exhibition by Nadia Barkate and Fátima Moreno, will open at Museo Centro de Arte Dos de Mayo in Móstoles, Spain, on 26 September 2026, and run through 10 January 2027.
The exhibition brings the artists’ production into dialogue with the collections of Museo Centro de Arte Dos de Mayo and Fundación ARCO. It takes drawing as its starting point—not only as a technique, but as a form of thought, action and relation to space.
Barkate and Moreno have been invited to undertake a collection reading focused on drawing, while also taking on curatorial roles within the project. The selected collection works are presented alongside their own through symbolic, thematic and material associations.
The installation proposes a departure from conventional orthogonal display through accumulations, controlled disorder, and elements positioned on walls and floors. The exhibition’s layout treats works as obstacles, directions or interruptions within the visitor’s route.
A publication will accompany ‘El listado’, bringing together a selection of images of representative works by Barkate and Moreno, alongside a text by Tania Pardo, director of Museo CA2M.
Works presented in connection with the exhibition include Moreno’s ‘Primavera temprana’ (2026), a watercolour on cotton paper, and Barkate’s ‘Viaje rápido a Atención #4’ (2026), made with airbrush and ink on paper.
