‘En Piste! 2026’ will bring the contemporary-art scene of Belgium’s Liège region together at La Boverie from 4 to 13 September, with free admission throughout the event. The 12th edition will present work by around 100 artists selected by approximately 30 galleries and art centres, giving the participating organisations a shared platform within the Liège museum.

Organised as a carte blanche for galleries and art centres from the region, ‘En Piste!’ is designed to show the range of current plastic and visual-art production in Liège. The 2026 edition will gather its presentations in one place and over a common period, allowing visitors to encounter works supported by the participating organisations in a single museum setting. A vernissage is scheduled for 3 September from 18:00.

The partners listed for this year’s edition include Art Studio Gallery, Artam Concept, Atelier Biscao, Bonnemaison, Buronzu Gallery, Créahm, Espace 251 Nord, Espace Galerie Flux, Espace Gothier, Espace Jean Thomanne, Fondation Bolly-Charlier, Galerie Centrale, Galerie Christine Colon, Galerie de Wegimont, Galerie du Livre et de l’étrange Théâtre, Galerie Le Parc, Galerie Liehrmann, Galerie Michel Huynen, Galerie Orpheu, Galerie Satellite, La Châtaigneraie, Le Comptoir du Livre, Les Drapiers, L’Enseigne, L’Inventaire, LRS52, Maison Arc-en-ciel, the Musée d’art contemporain en plein air du Sart-Tilman, OLA, the Province of Liège, Quai 4 Galerie, Space Collection and Traces Galerie.

Running alongside ‘En Piste!’ in the museum’s glass-roofed gallery will be the 2025 selection of the Prix de la Création. Awarded by the City of Liège for 17 years, the prize is open to artists born in or domiciled in Liège province. Rather than distinguishing a single work, it recognises an artist’s development in contemporary artistic practice, including their overall career, approach, maturity and body of work.

From 30 applications received in 2025, the selection committee named Églantine Chaumont the winner. Four other artists—Carole Louis, Anna Mancuso, Andrea Radermacher and Geneviève Van der Wielen—will exhibit alongside her in the glass-roofed space. The programme will also include two performances connected to the prize. Chaumont will present ‘Meuse’ with Fabien Mouton on 6 September at 16:00. Louis will perform ‘Sans fonds’ on 13 September between 14:00 and 17:00; both events are free.

According to La Boverie’s programme, ‘Meuse’ activates Chaumont’s installation through a dialogue between the building, sound, bodies, materials and the presence of the river. Louis’s ‘Sans fonds’ uses announcements broadcast through the museum and the distribution of one-cent coins to examine economic relationships, hierarchies and systems of value in society and the art world. ‘En Piste! 2026’ is open daily from 10:00 to 18:00 through 13 September, with free entry.
