The Museum of Art, Ehime in Matsuyama will present ‘Jimmy Onishi: Home Town’ from 3 October to 8 November 2026, bringing the comedian and artist’s work to the museum’s first-floor Special Exhibition Room 2. According to the exhibition information, ‘Home Town’ will introduce episodes from Jimmy Onishi’s life and career through works connected with the places where he has lived and worked. The presentation will also develop a new interpretation of the title in relation to the region hosting the exhibition. Onishi first became widely known through television before developing a parallel career as an artist.
