Renaissance is a category of art or art movement represented by several artists such as Tintoret, Alberto Durero and Bartolomeo Ammannati. Across 19 recent stories, Museo delle Porcellane, Musée Jacquemart-André and Christ Church Picture Gallery have covered Renaissance.
The exhibition will present, for the first time in France, an overview of Tintoret’s entire career and examine how his artistic legacy extended across centuries and borders to become a reference for 19th-century French painting.
The three works include 'Giovanna Tornabuoni’s Portrait' and 'Saint Jerome in His Study.' Domenico Ghirlandaio was a popular painter active in Florence during the Italian Renaissance in the latter half of the 15th century.
Marc de Launay will give ‘Tintoret ou le réalisme pathétique’ on 8 October 2026. The programme also lists ‘Rivalités à Venise’ for Thursday 5 November 2026.
