The Museo Reina Sofía is recalling the republican origin of a pochoir by Joan Miró. The image depicts a Catalan peasant wearing a barretina and raising a fist.

At the Reina Sofía, the 1937 work ‘Aidez l'Espagne’ changes location. The process of moving and installing the piece in its new location is being shown in the #AhoraenSala section.

The exhibition begins from ‘The Most Given of Givens’ (2016), a work recently acquired by the museum.

The Real Academia de Bellas Artes de San Fernando and RIZOMA, a multidisciplinary film and culture festival, have signed a collaboration agreement making a reproduction of Ricardo Bellver’s ‘Ángel Caído’ the festival’s official award.

The reinterpretation is rendered through a convulsive line and a pronounced contrast between black and white.
