The Real Academia de Bellas Artes de San Fernando and RIZOMA, a multidisciplinary film and culture festival, have signed a collaboration agreement making a reproduction of Ricardo Bellver’s ‘Ángel Caído’ the festival’s official award. The agreement was signed by Tomás Marco, director of the Academy, and Gabriela Martí Aller, director of RIZOMA.
The reproduction was made at the Academy’s Taller de Vaciados, or casting workshop, and is the award to be delivered to prize winners.
The 2026 edition, titled ‘Plastic Dreams’, will take place in Madrid from 16 to 22 November.
RIZOMA was founded in 2010 and is held at several venues in Madrid.
The festival is recognized for its original fusion of cinema with other artistic disciplines. It has previously brought Laurie Anderson, John Waters, Tom Sachs, Debbie Harry and David Lynch to Madrid.
