NTT InterCommunication Center [ICC] in Tokyo will host an online artist talk by Hiroyuki Hori on August 17, 2026, focusing on his work 'Michi no Karada'. The event is part of ICC Kids Program 2026, 'Mikan no Yakusoku — Tsukutte, Toraeru Media Creations', and will be streamed on YouTube only. ICC says the talk will address the relationship between technology and the body through the work.
The program announcement places Hori’s talk within a wider season of ICC activity that includes exhibitions, gallery tours and online events. ICC’s newsletter for August 13 notes that the institution will also hold a gallery tour for 'ICC Annual 2026: To Leave / To Remain / To Receive' on August 16, while several exhibitions remain on view through the summer and autumn. The Hori event is listed separately as a scheduled online event the following day.
According to ICC’s event page, 'Michi no Karada' is on view in 'Mikan no Yakusoku — Tsukutte, Toraeru Media Creations', which runs from July 25 to August 30, 2026, at ICC’s Gallery A and Hyper ICC. The show brings together works by AR Audio Guide team (glow), Circuit Lab. a team of UNIBA, Scott Allen (glow), Hori Hiroyuki and metamu. The exhibition is described as taking place across both the physical gallery and ICC’s online Hyper ICC space.
ICC frames the kids’ program as an inquiry into how media technology is used, experienced and rethought. Its exhibition text says the project revisits the idea of a technological environment in which people can make, think and perceive for themselves, and it does so through the diverse practices of children and participating artists. In that setting, 'Michi no Karada' becomes one of the works through which ICC is examining media creation as a collaborative, evolving process rather than a fixed display.
The August 17 talk will be moderated by Toru Akabane of IAMAS and glow, together with Tomoya Kashimada of ICC. The event begins at 7 p.m. and will be streamed online only. ICC identifies itself as the organizer. No in-person attendance is listed for the talk.
Elsewhere in the same newsletter, ICC highlights the exhibition 'Emergencies! 048: Keita Miyashita, Just a Bit of Those Things' and notes that its recording of an August 9 artist talk and live performance by Miyashita will be available until August 16. ICC also says the annual exhibition 'ICC Annual 2026: To Leave / To Remain / To Receive' continues through November 8, 2026, with works and events presented in Gallery B and related reservation details available through the institution’s website.
