The National Museum of Fine Arts in Argentina has opened registration for educational visits with museum guides for October and November 2026, inviting school groups from early childhood through university level to book a place in its learning programme. The museum announced the sign-up date on 11 August, directing institutions to its group-visit page for further information and level-specific forms.
According to the museum’s visitor information, the guided sessions are part of the 2026 cycle of educational visits offered to institutions and are free, but require advance registration. The programme is structured around different education levels, including early childhood and the first cycle of primary school, the second cycle of primary school, secondary school, and teacher-training, tertiary and university education. The museum says the tours are designed to encourage close looking and interaction with works in the permanent collection through playful, participatory approaches.
The museum has set out a year-long registration calendar for these guided visits. Sign-ups for March, April and May opened on 24 February; those for June and July on 7 April; and those for August and September on 2 June. The current registration round, on 11 August, covers visits in October and November. Applications are accepted from 9:00 to 17:00, and the museum notes that filling out the form does not guarantee a visit, since places depend on available capacity.
For visits scheduled between May and November, the museum says it will send a response within 20 days of each registration date. Once a school receives confirmation, it must accept the assigned slot within five business days or the reservation will lapse. The museum also states that only one form may be completed per institution for each period.
Alongside guided visits led by museum educators, the museum also allows visits led by teachers. These self-directed group visits can be booked for up to one hour, Tuesday through Sunday between 11:30 and 18:30. The museum says microphones and other sound-amplifying devices are not permitted, and that access to each gallery depends on room availability if another museum activity is taking place.
The education section on the museum’s website also promotes 'Bellas Artes en la escuela', a set of digital teaching materials for all school levels that can be used before and after an on-site visit or explored virtually through the museum’s online collection.
