Tiphaine Raffier’s 'L’Hors-présence ou Chimères du pays de Morsan' will arrive at Le Parvis in Tarbes next March, after its Festival d’Avignon presentation at La FabricA on July 3 and 4, 2026. The production is listed in the Parvis 2026-2027 theatre season with performances on Monday, March 8 and Tuesday, March 9 at 7:00 pm, and the venue identifies it as a 2-hour 30-minute work recommended for ages 15 and up.
The Parvis announcement places the piece among several shows that were “vu au Festival d’Avignon,” and the theatre presents Raffier’s work as a continuation of her earlier visit to the venue with 'France-Fantôme' in 2026. According to the Parvis text, the drama unfolds in a house in an imaginary village, where a family gathers around a sister condemned by illness. The focus is on how each character tries to find a place in a situation that is described as impossible and unbearable. The theatre’s summary says the characters’ looks collide, tensions surface, and certainties falter as the family confronts the practical and emotional burden of helping the dying woman.
The company credit on the Parvis page names Raffier as both author and director, with production by Cie La femme coupée en deux. The cast listed for the Tarbes performances includes Emma Bolcato, Teddy Chawa, Thomas Gonzalez, Paula Luna, Édith Mérieau, Catherine Mestoussis, Thierry Paret and Adrien Rouyard, with video participation by Hélène Raimbault and Patrick Harivel. In its own seasonal note, Le Parvis frames the show as a response to the difficult subject of dying and to the “time left” that structures the family’s interactions.
