Kunstsilo will mark Skeive Sørlandsdager with a guided tour led by Daisy Bakken on 28 August 2026, offering visitors a one-hour look at the museum’s exhibitions and collection through a queer perspective. The event runs from 4 pm to 5 pm at Kunstsilo in Kristiansand S and is described as a playful tour that asks where queer art can be found in the museum’s galleries and collection.

According to Kunstsilo’s event listing and newsletter, the tour is framed around Bakken’s return for a third consecutive year in connection with Skeive Sørlandsdager. The museum says she will use humor and a sharp eye to open up surprising readings of the current exhibitions. The listing also says the visit will take in the Tangen Collection and other parts of the museum’s presentation, with questions about identity, diversity and how art can be viewed through different lenses.

The online description gives several examples of the kinds of observations Bakken is set to pursue, including the newly acquired Canica art collection and Bendik Riis’s ‘six pears’, alongside a reference to a sailor at Silokaia at night. Kunstsilo says the tour is intended to be an “unforgettable” art encounter and that it offers an unexpected perspective on the museum’s current exhibitions.

Kunstsilo’s general tours page places the event within a broader program of daily guided tours designed to bring visitors closer to the art, the collection and the building. The museum says a tour ticket includes access to the whole of Kunstsilo for the day, and that participants are given headphones so they can hear the guide clearly. The same page lists several regular tour formats, including introductions to the Tangen Collection, tours focused on ‘Mellom drømmer og virkelighet’, ‘Bilder for en ny verden’, ‘Opprør og optimisme’ and the building history tour ‘Fra kornsilo til Kunstsilo’.

For this special event, the practical information says participants should meet in Silosalen at 4 pm, where the guided-tour tickets will be scanned. The ticket includes entry to all exhibitions and access to Kunstsilo for the whole day. Kunstsilo also notes that companion tickets require valid companion documentation, and that members must scan their membership card together with the tour ticket.

The museum’s event page lists the ticket categories for the tour as ordinary guided-tour admission, member admission, children’s admission, admission for visitors who already have an entrance ticket, and free admission for companions with valid documentation. The event is scheduled at Kunstsilo, Sjølystveien 8, 4610 Kristiansand S, and is currently listed for Friday 28 August 2026 from 16:00 to 17:00.
