Previously Unseen Images from the Archives Are Shared Today

The Palace of Versailles exercised its right of first refusal to make the acquisition. The objects are two crenellated Sèvres porcelain buckets associated in the announcement with Louis XVI.

The Château de Versailles has acquired two exceptional glass coolers, the only two known buckets of their form, made for Louis XVI’s mythological service and added to the château’s collections.

The Maison Européenne de la Photographie (MEP) in Paris is presenting "PENN & FASHION", a tribute to the American photographer Irving Penn (1917–2009), from 30 September 2026 to 17 January 2027.

After cleaning, losses are being filled with white putty; the colors will then be retouched, followed by the final varnish.
