Fundación Jumex Arte Contemporáneo has announced 'Divergencias en las gradas', a performance by Bárbara Foulkes set for August 1, 2026, from 1 to 3 p.m. The event is listed as a free activity and is described as transforming the graderías, or stands, of Tribunas into a live space through a score of actions.

According to the program description, the work unfolds through the reading of texts aloud and collective listening. Those elements are used to prompt an initial reflection on play, the collective, and what the body means in action. The invitation also asks visitors to activate their own bodies by walking, moving in teams and interacting physically through shared dynamics.

The performance appears within Fundación Jumex’s public program in Mexico City, where the institution is also presenting exhibitions and activities across its calendar. In the same program materials, the museum lists current exhibitions including 'Colección Jumex: VISIONES DIFUSAS' and 'OBJETOS DE LEYENDA: MOMENTOS ICÓNICOS EN LA HISTORIA DEL FÚTBOL', both running through August 30, 2026. The performance is linked to the installation 'Tribunas' by Tercerunquinto.

The program page adds that Foulkes will make a rope weaving in some part of 'Tribunas', and that the work will remain in place from July 31 to August 2. The action is framed as part of a larger spatial intervention in which bodies cross, hold one another and reorganize within the space, producing a multi-directional viewing structure that departs from the traditional single viewpoint of a stadium.

The artist’s biography on the museum page identifies Bárbara Foulkes as an artist, choreographer and cultural manager, born in Buenos Aires in 1982 and based in Mexico City since 2008. Her practice is described as interdisciplinary, with the body operating as the central axis of research, and as exploring relations between body, gravity, machine and space through choreographic experimentation and sensory perception.

The same page notes that Foulkes currently coordinates the education area and public program at Museo Diego Rivera Anahuacalli. It also says she is part of Colectivo AM and has presented work in Mexico, the United States and Europe at venues including MUAC, Museo Tamayo, EMPAC, REDCAT and The Kitchen. The performance page identifies an image credit for 'Cómo siendo peces podemos ver el agua', 2022, courtesy of the artist.
