Vari Caramés Wins Spain’s 2026 National Photography Award

Teresa Solar, identified by the museum as a Madrid artist, is presenting ‘Tuneladora’ at Museo Reina Sofía.

The screen, dated between 1921 and 1922, marked a break with Impressionism for the young Dalí.

The exhibition explores the emotional and political dimensions of Gonzalez-Torres’s work. The artist’s vital and artistic journey is marked by beauty, grief, paradox and participatory power.

A handwritten dedication by the poet is visible in the drawing’s upper-right area. Lorca gave the drawing to Josefina Attard, a close friend also known as ‘Fina de Calderón,’ whom he nicknamed ‘the girl with crutches.’
