The Bronx Museum of the Arts will dedicate its July First Friday event to 'The Robyn Party,' bringing the long-running pop-dance celebration to the museum for the first time. Scheduled for Friday, July 10, from 6 to 10 p.m., the 21-and-over event is free with RSVP and is billed as part of the museum’s First Friday Summer 2026 series.
According to the museum’s event listing, the evening is organized around the music of Swedish pop star Robyn, with a program built from “the hits, the remixes, the deep cuts, the b-sides, the heartbreak, and the dancing-through-the-pain anthems” associated with her catalogue. The museum also says guests can expect music by Charli XCX, Zara Larsson, Carly Rae Jepsen, Romy, Gaga, and “more ROBYN,” framing the night as a dance party rather than a conventional concert or performance program.
The event page identifies 'The Robyn Party' as an initiative presented by ADVENTURE[s] and describes it as the original and longest-running celebration of Robyn in her “various forms and flavors.” It says the creators and DJs Russ Marshalek, Marley Magaziner, and Chris Choyce have been taking the party around the world for 14 years. The page also notes that the party has been featured in the short film for Robyn’s “Missing U,” the video that launched the 'Honey' era, and references a sold-out Los Angeles party tied to the 'Sexistential' era.
The Bronx Museum’s announcement pairs the dance night with extended access to its galleries. Visitors attending First Friday will be able to see 'The Seventh AIM Biennial: Forms of Connection,' which the museum describes as critically acclaimed and open late for the evening. The exhibition is already on view at the museum and remains central to the institution’s summer programming around the First Friday series.
The museum says the evening will include complimentary cocktails and soft drinks while supplies last, along with non-alcoholic beverages throughout the night. The event listing also emphasizes the atmosphere it wants to create, inviting attendees to “come dressed to move,” “scream every lyric,” and “cry in the club a little,” language that underscores the party’s club-oriented format.
First Friday: Summer 2026 Series—July: 'This Party Is Killing You—The Robyn Party' is set for 6 to 10 p.m. on July 10 at The Bronx Museum of the Arts, 1040 Grand Concourse in the Bronx. The museum says admission is free with RSVP, and the event is open to adults 21 and over.
