IVAM’s exhibition ‘La Albufera’ is in its final week and remains on view through 18 October 2026. The exhibition is presented at IVAM Centre Julio González from 8 July to 18 October 2026.
‘La Albufera’ examines the Valencian wetland’s historical, cultural and environmental layers through art, photography and documentation. The exhibition’s commissioned artists are Bleda y Rosa, Paula García-Masedo, Lucía Loren, Teresa Marín García, Jorge Ribalta and Jorge Yeregui.
Among the works shown are Bleda y Rosa’s ‘Albufera’ (2026), a photograph, and Jorge Yeregui’s ‘Figuras para un cambio de paradigma’ (2025–2026), a photographic installation. The exhibition presents the wetland as a territory shaped by overlapping traces, accounts and remnants. These multiple layers invite reflection on possible futures for a shared environment.
On 13 October, IVAM brings together specialists in anthropology, sociology, environmental conservation and art to address the Albufera from different perspectives. The programme includes conversations, a roundtable with professionals from different fields and a tour of the exhibition.
The closing programme includes a special visit to ‘La Albufera’ commented on by the exhibition’s curator, Sandra Moros.
