The Museum of Art Girona will hold a guided visit and cocktail on 11 July 2026 for its exhibition 'Concha Ibáñez. L'evocació del paisatge'. The programme is listed for 18:00 and is curated by Elina Norandi, the exhibition’s curator, together with Nykteri’s, which will offer the cocktail in the museum gardens after the visit.

The event is part of the museum’s public programming around the exhibition, which the institution says is framed by the centenary of the artist’s birth. Admission is priced at 20 euros, with a reduced rate of 10 euros for Amics del md’A. Places are limited and advance booking is required.

Concha Ibáñez, born in Canet de Mar in 1926 and based in Barcelona until her death in 2022, placed landscape at the centre of her practice. According to the museum, she developed her work through a particular method: while travelling she made studies and sketches, then, once back in Barcelona, painted the motifs in series. The museum describes her approach as moving away from traditional landscape painting toward an original vision of the places she visited.

The exhibition highlights what the museum identifies as hallmarks of Ibáñez’s style: a synthesis of forms and a reduced chromatic range. In some works, the museum notes, the landscapes come close to abstraction. The display is intended to explore not only her painted images but also the wider world that informed them.

Alongside the paintings, the exhibition includes Ibáñez’s prints, original documentation and objects that belonged to her. The museum’s commentary suggests that these materials help frame the artist’s practice as a way of transforming reality into a personal reflection of how she inhabited the world.

The guided visit on 11 July is presented as a chance to engage directly with that exhibition before the evening continues in the museum gardens. The museum’s listing identifies Elina Norandi and Nykteri’s as organisers of the programme and gives the date, time and booking conditions for the event at the Museum of Art Girona.
