Harumi Abe’s work is currently on view as part of the Hollywood Art and Culture Center’s ‘Fall Exhibition,’ through January 17, 2027.

Abe is a Japanese-born artist based in Hollywood, Florida. Her work explores ideas of place, memory, identity, and belonging.

Abe’s work has been exhibited throughout South Florida and beyond, including at Oolite Arts, AIRIE Nest Gallery, Saladrigas Gallery, and Terzo Piano. She is the recipient of the South Florida Cultural Consortium Grant and the Sustainable Arts Foundation Award.

Abe holds an MFA from Florida International University and has taught at colleges throughout South Florida as well as the Savannah College of Art and Design.
