Its Canadian headliners include works by Cornelius Krieghoff, Gordon Appelbe Smith, Frederick Arthur Verner, A.J. Casson, A.Y. Jackson and William Kurelek. The international offerings include works by Edouard Cortès and Henri Lebasque, alongside a suite by Georges Mathieu, David Milne and Eduardo Paolozzi from an Important Private Collection.
The sale will also include exceptional, unpublished works by Fernand Léger and Sir Alfred James Munnings.
The auction continues Waddington’s presentation of Canadian art, which began with a dedicated Canadian Fine Art auction at the Queen Elizabeth Building at the CNE in 1967.
