‘LEE MILLER. Opere 1930-1955’ to Be Presented in Forlì From October 2026 Image: Museo Civico San Domenico, Forlì

‘LEE MILLER. Opere 1930-1955’, curated by Walter Guadagnini, will run from 10 October 2026 to 10 January 2027 at the Musei San Domenico in Forlì. The exhibition presents more than 160 photographs, many of them nearly unpublished, alongside period magazines in which Miller’s photographic assignments and articles were published.

Promoted by the Fondazione in collaboration with the municipal administration and CAMERA – Centro Italiano per la Fotografia, the exhibition was developed in close cooperation with the Lee Miller Archives in London. It is organized by CAMERA – Centro Italiano per la Fotografia in collaboration with the Lee Miller Archives.

A chronological structure covers Miller’s activity from the 1930s through the 1950s and follows a life in continual movement between the United States, Europe and Africa. The exhibition presents her as a photographer, model, surrealist muse, war reporter and traveller. The works on view encompass modeling, authorship, surrealism, fashion photography and war reportage, alongside travel.

‘Maschere antincendio’ was made at Downshire Hill in London, England, in 1941.
