‘BOoks’ will take place from 2 to 4 October 2026 in the Sala delle Ciminiere at MAMbo, with the three-day event scheduled from Friday through Sunday. The festival will feature 38 exhibitors, booksellers and publishers specialising in art books and artists’ books, bringing together participants whose work is specifically focused on those two fields.
Danilo Montanari and Lorenzo Balbi are the festival’s curators. BOoks is promoted by the publisher Danilo Montanari Editore in collaboration with MAMbo, part of the Civic Museums sector of the Municipality of Bologna.
MAMbo’s Project Room is presenting the exhibition ‘Luigi Ghirri e Gianni Celati. Verso la foce’ through 4 October 2026. Curated by Lorenzo Balbi and Giulia Pezzoli, the exhibition documents the intellectual and creative relationship between Luigi Ghirri, identified as a photographer, and Gianni Celati, identified as a writer, critic, translator and filmmaker.
The related material identifies Ghirri’s series ‘Blu Infinito’ as dating from 1991.
