The exhibition follows the unfolding of a single day through the work of more than 80 artists. Joffe and Myerscough present their own paintings and drawings alongside works from Sheffield’s collection.
The painters have shared a close friendship and artistic dialogue for decades; while distinct in style, their work explores family, friendship and the everyday. The exhibition brings together portraits and domestic scenes spanning the day from first light to nightfall.
Named examples from Sheffield’s collection include works by William Blake, Prunella Clough, Paul Gauguin, David Hockney and Claudette Johnson.
