Mark Moore Fine Art is presenting ‘ULTRA 26’, a group exhibition featuring recent and notable work by 23 gallery artists, including Dirk Staschke.
The exhibition continues the gallery’s ‘Ultrasonic’ Group Show Surveys, a tradition dating to the ‘Ultrasonic International’ Exhibition in 2006.
The Staschke presentation includes ‘Translation #4 (Front and Back)’, a 2014 work made from ceramic, wood and epoxy.
He describes making sculptures based on paintings in a traditionally considered craft medium, translating still-life paintings into sculptural abstract forms that expose the crude structures of their creation.
