The exhibition brings graffiti, a street art form, into a museum setting, where visitors can explore its aesthetics, history and expressive power.
It includes paintings, newspaper clippings, sculptures, installations, videos and graffiti, with most of the works made specifically for the exhibition.
Visitors can also explore graffiti artists’ sketchbooks, photographic archives, stories and tools.
The opening is accompanied by a new book documenting Jyväskylä’s graffiti history from the 1990s to the early 2000s.
The exhibition has received support from the Finnish Heritage Agency.
