She understands herself as a mediator of women’s voices, amplifying them so that they can be heard. [f4] For her project at the Neues Museum, Grant investigated Nuremberg’s past and present and connected that research with the city’s history as a center of printing. [f5]
Grant has engaged with texts by eight female authors. [f6] Four of those eight authors come from Nuremberg or live there. [f6]
Among the works named in the exhibition presentation is ‘Gnaden Überlast / Grace Overload’, made after Christina Ebner’s ‘Der Nonne von Engelthal Büchlein von der Genaden Uberlast’ from 1346, published in an edition by Karl Schröder in 1871. [f7] ‘Gnaden Überlast / Grace Overload’ is dated 2026 and was acquired that year by the Förderverein des Neuen Museums, the Museumsinitiative. [f7][f8]
