Recommended Book: Maruyama Okyo — From Innovator to Master

The presentation ‘Omuta—100 Years of Shigeo Egami’ will introduce the full scope of Shigeo Egami’s work in Tokyo for the first time.

The exhibition will be organized by the Tokyo Metropolitan Art Museum, the Hammer Museum and Asahi Shimbun.

The recommended book is titled ‘大英博物館北斎 国内の肉筆画の名品とともに’. Its title concerns Hokusai and notable original paintings in Japan.

The Suntory Museum of Art will open ‘Itsuo Museum Collection: Buson, Goshun and Tea Ceremony Masterpieces’ on September 16, 2026, with Nagasawa Rosetsu’s ‘Snowfall Puppies’ due to enter the exhibition nearly a month later.
